Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Q: Do I need to be there for the inspection?
A: Yes, it is recommended. You don’t have to but your presence can provide valuable insight about your new endeavor.

Q: Why do I need a home inspection?
A: The purchase of a new home is probably the most important investment someone will make. The inspection is designed to give you an objective evaluation of a home or property before you buy. An inspection could reveal problem areas and also supply a bargaining chip to negotiate a better price.

Q: How long will the inspection take?
A: An average inspection will take approximately 2-3 hours.  We will utilize a digital camera to assist in the inspection and in writing the report accurately.

Q: Why use Creek Home inspections for your needs?

Q: Can any builder or contractor inspect my home?
A: Yes but it is not recommended. This is a common mistake many homebuyers make when purchasing a new home. They may be very good at their trade but they have not been trained as a home inspector. Professional home inspection is a unique skill like no other.

Q: Should I trust a referral from my real estate agent?
A: Yes. Real estate agents see a variety of home inspectors in action and can assess their level of competence. Assuming you trust your realtor, they should refer a company that will provide a comprehensive inspection. Regardless, it is important you get all your questions answered.

Q: What if I have questions?
A: Ask them. Before – During – or After the inspection. We’re here to get the answers you need. Your concerns as the home buyer or client are number one.
